John DeAngelis

John began his construction career bleeding orange and blue as a Florida Gator. He graduated from University of Florida with his Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction, which launched his 25 year career in the industry. John co-founded DeAngelis Diamond in 1996 in sunny Naples, where he grew up. John plays a vast role in establishing numerous successful companies in the real estate, development, and various other industries. John and his family have participated in many Christian mission trips around China, Cambodia, Haiti and South America helping women and children from the plight of human trafficking. When he is not running businesses or participating in mission trips, John enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

David Diamond

Growing up in South Florida, David became inspired with the innovative, creative genius of Walt Disney, which led him to study art, architecture and construction management at the University of Florida. David co-founded DeAngelis Diamond and with his co-founder, drives the company’s culture, vision, strategy, and growth as well as leading the Innovation, Talent, and DeAngelis Diamond Academy teams. A serial entrepreneur and angel investor, David enjoys investing in and advising brilliant startup entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, New York City and South Florida. A restless traveler, David also brings aid and raises awareness of the global magnitude of human trafficking, the plight of refugees in Darfur, orphans in Sudan, Kenya, and the Favelas and in relationship building in the Caucuses of southern Russia

Reggie Morgan

Reggie grew up on a farm in Arkansas where he acquired his strong work ethic, sense of leadership and values. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (Go Warhawks!) and in 2005, joined the DD team. In 2010, he co-founded DDHG and has played a significant role in the development of the company. Reggie now serves as Chief Operating Officer for DD and Chief Executive Officer for DDHG. His secret to being successful is that you must always be flexible, trustworthy, and willing to take on challenges. In 2012, Reggie was featured in the annual 40 under 40 Gulfshore Business article. He enjoys the outdoors, sport fishing, and spending time with his wife, Brandi, of eighteen years, and their children Lilly, Landon and Lola.

Robert Young

Robert grew up in Beaver Falls, PA and had his first gig in the construction industry at 18 years old in Dallas, TX where he worked his way up the construction ladder. 30+ years of experience, 11 cities, and multiple positions later, Robert serves as President of DeAngelis Diamond. He has overseen numerous healthcare projects in 27 different states. He pioneered the DD Birmingham location and played a large part in DD’s success over the past five years. Many people have helped Robert throughout his career therefore he is a firm believer in paying it forward. He is also an avid motorcyclist and has ridden through 12 states and Mexico. Robert lives in Naples with his wife Renee and daughter Madeline.

Jason Sain

Jason graduated from Auburn University with his Bachelor’s degree in construction management and building science. He has traveled around the country leading teams with one common mission: to build quality hospitals. With 17 years of experience under his belt, Jason now serves as Vice President and Principal for DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group. His work ethic and passion led him to opening the Nashville office for DDHG. Jason was featured in the annual 40 under 40 Gulfshore Business article in 2015, and in 2016 named one of Southwest Florida’s fittest business executives. Jason embraces his competitive nature by competing in high endurance events, whether it be a Crossfit competition or Ironman race. When he’s not working, Jason spends time with his beautiful wife and three daughters.

Robert Lewis

Robert is an Auburn University graduate, with ten years of trade experience prior to returning to college. He has been with DDHG since 2010 and serves as the Division Manager for DDHG in Birmingham. He offers over twenty six years of construction experience and believes the key to his success in the construction industry is working with people and teams that are always striving to improve. He feels blessed to work for a company with such a faith oriented culture. He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife of twenty years and their two children. In his spare time, you will find him tinkering on cars and playing music.

David Kovalik

David grew up in Northville, Michigan and attended Michigan State University. He moved to Florida in 2005. He started with DD as a field engineer and over the past eleven years has developed into one of the company’s strongest leaders. David is now the Executive Project Manager for DD in Naples and oversees all commercial projects. He has fourteen years of construction experience. David enjoys spending time with his wife Yelena and son, Michael. Some of his favorite hobbies include boating, fishing, and traveling.

Scott Currens

Scott grew up in Michigan and relocated to Florida in 2011 after spending three years prior in Charleston, South Carolina. He has over twenty years of healthcare construction experience and is the Division Manager of Sarasota for DDHG. He has worked on projects in eight different states as well as the Grand Cayman Islands. He enjoys anything outdoors. One of his professional goals is to manage and complete a construction project for Walt Disney World.

Grant Goebel

Originally from St. Louis, Grant launched his financial career after earning his MBA at the University of Missouri. After 28 years in the financial world of construction and at one point calling Egypt home, Grant decided to make a permanent move to his family’s favorite vacation spot in Florida (they will now need a new place to vacation) to join the DD team as CFO. When Grant isn’t spending time with his wife and two kids, he enjoys fishing, boating, water skiing, golfing and hunting.

Brian Hood

Brian is originally from Knoxville, TN and a huge Vols football fan. He has been with DD for sixteen years and is the Director of Field Operations in Naples. He brings twenty three years of construction experience to the table. Prior to his career in construction, Brian was a police officer in Chattanooga. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and son.

Kaisa Schmidt

Originally from Sweden, but with a passion for travel and to discover new cultures, Kaisa chose to continue her education in the US after graduating with a degree in Photo, Film and Art. Starting her career as a computer programmer, she quickly realized she was a right brained thinker and her true passion was in marketing and design. In 2007, she became the Director of Marketing for DeAngelis Diamond and plays a major role in the company leading all marketing, advertising and public relations efforts. Kaisa has won multiple marketing awards, keeping the company on the forefront of design with her creative abilities. In her spare time she can be found spending time with her two children, traveling the world, or satisfying her inner “foodie” by trying out new restaurants.

BJ Brundage

In 2014, BJ took the position of Business Development Director at DD in Fort Myers. She loves developing relationships and the challenge of winning new projects. Her success is driven by over twenty five years of experience in engineering, architecture and construction. BJ used to be an FM Radio disc jockey. She is a tennis buff and enjoys the warm, sunny Florida weather. She loves to spend time out on the boat with her family and grandchildren, they help her to never slow down.

Brett Diamond

Brett Diamond is the son of David Diamond, co-founder of DD, and serves as the Chief Innovation Officer for DD in Naples. He was born and raised in Naples and has a passion for the entrepreneurs and businesses in his hometown. He is an entrepreneur by nature. Brett is not only the CIO of DD, he is the co-founder of VentureX, a revolutionary designed co-working space and the co-founder of Naples Herald, a local virtual newspaper. He was voted and featured in the annual 40 under 40 Gulfshore Business article in 2013. Brett’s dream job would be driving remote control cars, boats and drones. He knows every word to the Newsies musical. Brett proudly welcomed a baby girl in 2016 with his wife.

Chris Curran

Chris is currently our only University of Washington Husky. Living and working as a PAC 12 Alumni in Florida is not easy but Chris does it with courage! Originally from Anchorage and now residing in Naples, Chris seems to have had a mission to live in the farthest reaches of the country. With extended stops along the way in Seattle, Birmingham and Nashville, his experience is just as diverse as his addresses. Chris has provided leadership on healthcare and commercial projects ranging from $5M to $120M and serves as our Preconstruction Manager in the Naples headquarters. Chris loves spending time with his wife and four kids at the beach but wishes he had more time to fish, hunt, sail, build furniture and read more.

Brian Swanson

Brian was raised in the panhandle of Florida and graduated from Indiana State University. During high school and college Brian worked in the field for a large mechanical contractor as a plumbing and sheet metal apprentice; this drove Brian’s passion for construction. This allowed him to understand the constructability of not only the mechanical trades but all the trades and how they performed together; essentially applying 2 Dimensions from a set of drawings to the reality in the field. Brian has been in Healthcare Construction for 18 years and overall 24 years in construction. He brings a strong MEP and Structural background to the team. Brian leads the Healthcare Group Estimating team in Naples Florida as Chief Estimator. In his personal time, he enjoys traveling and fishing.

Harold Morgan

Harold, a graduate of the University of Florida with a Degree in Building Construction, has worked in the commercial construction industry for nearly thirty years. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, he has completed commercial projects throughout the state. Working as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for the majority of his career, he is now the Chief Estimator for DeAngelis Diamond Construction. When not working, Harold enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children along with their Chinese Water Dragon and two Italian Greyhounds.

Mark Turner

Mark graduated from Auburn University with his Bachelor’s degree in construction management and building science. With over 21 years of experience in both construction Project Management and Estimating, his main passion and focus over the last 15 years has been dedicated to Healthcare Preconstruction. Mark now serves as Chief Estimator for DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group and leads the Birmingham office’s preconstruction team. When he’s not in the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. Favored activities include watching college football (War Eagle!) and anything outdoors including hiking, camping, golfing, boating, and mountain biking.

Mike Casady

Mike grew up in a small German town in Southern Illinois. He moved to New York City for five years and worked on a construction project and then moved to Naples in 1992. Mike has been with DD in Naples since its inception in 1996 and brings over thirty years of construction experience. He currently serves as the Director of Safety for all DD and DDHG jobsites. Mike has had the great privilege to work on several ministry construction projects throughout the world. He says that this is the highlight of his career. He enjoys donating his time to help others. Throughout his ministry work, he has been able to make new lasting friends and relationships.
