
DAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group attended the 17th LCI Congress this month in Boston, MA. LCI Congress is a networking and learning opportunity focusing on the practice of Lean construction. The conference offers classes, keynote speakers, a tradeshow and networking opportunities.
DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group welcomes Senior Project Manager, Joshua Rhodes. Joshua has been in the construction industry for twelve years. He graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Engineering Technologies in 2006. Previously, Joshua worked for JE Dunn Construction as a Senior Project Manager and has completed multiple projects ranging from 1,500 sq.ft. to 280,000 sq.ft. He has extensive experience working in the healthcare industry: some of his top projects include Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA, Eastside Medical Center North Tower Expansion and Renovations in Snellville, GA and Brandon Regional Medical Center 3rd Floor Buildout and Emergency Department Expansion and Renovations in Brandon, FL.
Joshua grew up on a cattle and tobacco farm in Kentucky. He enjoys spending time outdoors and competing in high endurance events such as triathlons and Ragnar Relays. He and his wife, Katie, are expecting their third child in September. Joshua and Katie enjoy spending a substantial amount of time volunteering at their church and local charity, Our Kids.
Joshua will be based at the DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Groups’ Nashville Office, opening Summer 2016.
DeAngelis Diamond has been named a Gold Fit- Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association for the 2nd year in a row. DeAngelis Diamond practices worksite wellness by providing healthy snack choices and bottles of water throughout the office. The list is nationwide, and rates top contractors throughout the United States based on profitability for the previous year. As a group the top 400 generated $331.4 billion in contracting revenue in 2014.
A study from the article also shows a rise in contracting firms embracing more LEAN process techniques throughout the year. DeAngelis Diamond has been focusing on LEAN principles by hosting companywide presentations and trainings, and has travelled to universities introducing LEAN methods to upcoming construction management graduates.

DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group has completed the first Freestanding ER in Collier County. Completed ahead of schedule, the 43,000 square foot emergency department and physician offices facility is located on the northeast side of Naples, at the intersection of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard.
The project sits on a 3.35 acre site, and includes a 12,000 square foot full service emergency department designed and constructed utilizing Lean principles. The freestanding ER includes a radiology department, CT scan, Flouro, X-ray and MRI, full laboratory, blood center, pharmaceutical supply, teleneurology robot for remote consults, behavioral health risk patient intake, and treatment rooms. The ER will be staffed and equipped to handle any medical emergency.
DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group has completed 80 projects with Naples Community Healthcare System since 2007.

DeAngelis Diamond Construction has been awarded the Boys and Girls Club Immokalee Youth Development Center project in Immokalee, Florida. The project will total 27,786 sq.ft. The building will be located across from the Immokalee Foundation, at 1155 Roberts Ave W, Immokalee, Florida. BSSW Architects is working with DeAngelis Diamond to design the youth development center. The center will include classrooms, computer labs, music and dance rooms, a full kitchen and cafeteria, teen center, and nurse’s office.

The Pinnacle Awards were created by the sales and marketing Council of the BIA in 1990 and recognize excellence in the residential building industry.
DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group has been selected to enter into contract negotiation for the construction of a medical village in Estero after winning a competitive request for qualification process for the Lee Memorial Hospital Mixed Use Healthcare Development and Retail Services project. The project is located on a 31 acre site that Lee Memorial has owned since 2004. Located on the south side of Coconut Road in Estero, Florida. Altogether the project will total 136,900 sq.ft. The new health and wellness destination will be the only medical center in southern Lee County addressing the service gaps around the area.
The healthcare center will include a Free Standing Emergency Department, Healthy Life Center, Outpatient Surgery Center, Clinical Decision Unit, Laboratory, Imaging, Rehab Therapy, Cardiac Testing and Physician Office Space. Services will focus on health, healing, and treatment, and patients will experience convenience through the hospitals’ system, “five ones” of health care connectivity- one registration, one point of scheduling, one combined schedule of care, one electronic medical record and one patient portal.
The contract will be presented for approval at the next meeting of the Lee Memorial Health System Board of Directors on October 22, 2015.

The ?DeAngelis Diamond? marketing team attended the Adobe Max design conference in Los Angeles this month. The creativity conference included inspiring keynote speakers such as Baz Luhrmann, Maira Kallman, Elle Luna, and Brandon Stanton. The marketing team also attended hands-on labs and classes taught by design professionals in the industry.

DeAngelis Diamond has finished construction on the Harbor Isle Clubhouse. Owned by Canadian home builder, Minto Communities, the community’s upscale beach clubhouse is located on Anna Maria Sound, in Bradenton, Florida. The 2-story clubhouse spans 23,000 square feet and includes a 4,200 square foot fitness center, a second-floor bar, clubroom, and a ground floor hall (suitable for formal receptions or smaller private functions). The clubhouse was completed in a 10 month timespan. The official grand opening was held on July 31st, 2015.

Construction has begun on an expansion for Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry. The one-story, 40,000 square foot addition creates 40 rooms designed for patients aged 65 and older, who can also have medical needs besides a mental illness, bringing the total number of beds up to 130. The expansion will also include areas for family meetings, education, and will replace the existing 32-bed geriatric unit that will be used for other adults with mental illness and substance abuse.
DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group celebrates the grand opening of the recently completed, Acadia Healthcare, New Residential Treatment Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The project was completed in 3 phases, and totaled 89,000 sq.ft.
