DeAngelis Diamond is making great efforts to be more inclusive in general, partnering with various subcontractors and companies when possible, and encouraging disadvantaged commercial enterprise organizations (DBEs) to bid on specific projects. They also promote acceptance within their offices.

DeAngelis Diamond has been hired as the general contractor for the construction of Sunnybrook Storage in Miami. This eight-story building was designed by Blue Projects USA and will be a total of 112,500 sq.ft with 970 climate-controlled storage units. It will also feature a parking garage. DeAngelis Diamond is scheduled to break ground on this project early February 2018.

DeAngelis Diamond Awarded Health Clinic Renovation and Expansion

DeAngelis Diamond has been hired as the general contractor for the renovation and expansion of the Neighborhood Health Clinic in Naples. The project consists of two phases. The first phase will begin construction of a new 8,470 sq.ft. addition. This addition will provide a larger waiting room for the clinic, offices and conference rooms. It will also expand the clinic’s services to include dental, x-ray, mammography, CT-scan and a blood lab.

The second phase will include selective demolition of the existing building, which will consist of removing a section of the roof and adding 1,270 sq.ft. of new space to the 2nd floor.  Once the structural work is complete, a demo and remodel of the 2nd floor offices and conference room, including an expansion into the new 2nd floor space, will begin. Upon completion, the original building will be doubled in size.

The Neighborhood Health Clinic delivers quality medical care to low-income, working, but uninsured, people of Collier County.

DeAngelis Diamond Holds Topping Out Ceremony for Behavioral Health Hospital

DeAngelis Diamond held a topping out ceremony for an addition to Acadia’s TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Over 170 members of the community attended the ceremony that raised the final steel beam of this 96,000 sq.ft. acute care behavioral health addition. The project features a 2,300 sq.ft. one-story interior renovation that connects to the main hospital, a new storage building and a seven-bed expansion of the existing building.

“I am so thankful for all of the hard work that has been done so far by Resource Management Company, FabArc Steel Supply, Hemma Concrete, ABEC Electric Company, Rock City Mechanical, and River City Erectors,” project manager Kris Duran said. “They have exceeded scheduled dates and provided their best people and resources to this project.”

DeAngelis Diamond Breaks Ground on North Fort Myers Library

DeAngelis Diamond broke ground on the Lee County Public Library at North Fort Myers today.  This single-story, 26,390 sq.ft. building was designed by BSSW Architects and will feature an open floorplan, exposed structural supports, a chilled water AC system, clear story windows, a standing seam roof, stone exterior wall cladding, copper cladding and stucco.

Over 50 members of the community were present for the groundbreaking including Lee County Commissioners Brian Hamman, Cecil Pendergrass and Frank Mann. The new library will be located where the old library once stood, facing old U.S. 41, but will include additional property and will extend further away from the road.

DeAngelis Diamond Holds Topping Out Ceremony at Lee Health

DeAngelis Diamond held a Topping Out ceremony for Lee Health at Coconut Point in Estero, FL on Friday. This 164,000 sq.ft. mixed-use health and wellness facility is the only comprehensive medical center in southern Lee County and includes a Healthy Life Center, Free-Standing Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery Center, Recovery Care Center, Laboratory, Imaging, Rehab Therapy, Cardiac Testing and Physician Office spaces.

“We’ve been through a hurricane, rains and floods,” project manager Jesse Dawson said. “To get to the point where we have the building topped-out, we’ve got the biggest hurdle of any job done.” Senior project manager Billy Hawkins added, “on behalf of DeAngelis Diamond, I just want to say thank you to our subcontractors. You guys are doing a great job. We appreciate your hard work and we couldn’t do this project without you.”

A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held for Thrive at Beachwalk in Fort Myers. DeAngelis Diamond completed this 97,740 sq.ft. assisted living and memory care establishment in June. It has 125 units and offers a variety of amenities to its residents, including a gym, entertainment room and beauty and barber salon.

DeAngelis Diamond recently broke ground on a 48-bed expansion to the UHS Clarion Psychiatric Center in Clarion, PA.  This project consists of a 12,000 square foot addition and multiple interior renovations over a 12-month schedule.  Led by superintendent, Phillip Rose, and project manager, Logan Schwettman, UHS Clarion is slated for completion in Fall 2018.

DeAngelis Diamond has been awarded a 74-bed behavioral health hospital in Brevard County, FL. Indian River Behavioral Health will be a 54,000 sq.ft. project owned by United Health Systems and designed by HHCP Architects. This will be the second building of this prototype. DeAngelis Diamond collaborated with the UHS project team on the original design that was completed in April 2017. The company looks forward to continuing to assist UHS in establishing behavioral health facilities in new areas.

DeAngelis Diamond is pleased to announce that Brian Hood, Director of Field Operations, has been promoted to Vice President of Field Operations. Brian has 24 years of construction experience and started as a Superintendent with the company 17 years ago. Two years ago, Brian was promoted to Director of Field Operations and has been responsible for supervising all field teams ever since. He has overseen multiple projects for corporations like Arthrex and completed half a billion dollars’ worth of construction throughout his career.
